Safety valve suitable for use in a boiler. The safety valve is installed in a central heating system to protect it from excessive operating pressure. When the pressure exceeds a predetermined value, it opens to depressurise the system.

Its role in the installation is very important, because increased pressure poses serious risks to people and materials. It is placed at the highest point of the installation and without the intervention of a switch or a valve.

It is a diode which means it has 2 ports, one for media input and one for output. When the inlet is closed the flow is stopped, while when it is open the flow in the inlet is the same as the flow in the outlet.
